돼지고기 사과구이: Apple Pork

I dont know how they do it on this show. They make everything look so tasty as they are making it, and then you try to do it and it sorta comes out and sort of flops flat. Either that or the host is lying about how good it tastes.  This time around I tried their apple pork recipe.image

I really like the guest chef that week on the show. She goes by “Big Mama”, but her cooking is mainly Korean style but put in a very simple easy to do way. Ok in all fairness I opted for applesauce rather than apple jam (? I think they mean apple butter?) that was used in the show. But hey I gotta use what I have on hand right? It came out alright. It wasn’t something I was jumping up and down for. I did like the bit of sweet with the savory, but the texture was somewhat…interesting. I don’t know that I would try this again, but usually combos of apple and pork have me saying “Yes can I have some more”. Hmm Ill keep searching…

  1. the picture does look very good – was expecting bits of apple to be sticking out 🙂 i’m really stuck on the nickname… “big mama”. how do you say that in korean? I think i know what might have helped out the recipe, since you say it was “interesting”… more meat, less veggie 😉
