It was my good friend JM’s birthday and a couple of us decided to gather for a home-cooked meal and I was in charge of the cake. I tried out this recipe for a Chocolate Espresso Layer cake from the Bon Appetit Desserts cookbook. This was a great recipe! The frosting is rich and full of rich chocolate flavor. I actually found that I was a tad bit short, and though it was still a lot of frosting it was not the type of frosting that would make you feel ill from eating too much of it. While this did take some time to bake, it was a very simple cake. Everyone should give this recipe a try!
